Review on NinjaTek 3DNF05117505 NinjaFlex Filament TPE 5Kg by Mark Marcellus

Wet thread causes a lot of tension; Ninjatek must use vacuum bag

It's unbelievable that they don't include vacuum bag. Even the cheap $15 PLA rolls (which are far less prone to absorbing moisture) come sealed inside with a silica gel pouch. The filament I received undoubtedly soaked up moisture in humid warehouses and delivery vehicles and had terrible tension on my Prusa MK3S - even with the highly optimized NinjaFlex profile (Prusa printers have a profile called "NinjaFlex Profile - Zero Stringing - Flawless.Printing - Benchy enabled). I reported my concerns to the profiler and found that the problem was with the wet NinjaFlex. He also tested this stress level and attributed it to moisture; after drying the filament in a dehydrator, that disappeared Excitement. I don't have a $100 dehydrator so I'm stuck with this horribly wet floss. At the premium price point, it's unacceptable that the Ninjatek thread arrives unsealed. I'm sure the results will be different would be if the thread was dry It's not dramatic to give 1 star for the lack of a pocket if this is too na ss filaments and terribly filiform prints. Check out the photo for yourself. I personally will stick with other TPU brands that are vacuum packed from now on.

Pros
  • 3D printing filament
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
