Review on Dorman 901-725 Liftgate Release Switch - Compatible with Toyota Models by Trey Samuels

Installed on a 2009 Toyota 4runner. The original version had melted so badly that every time I had to open the back door there was a black deposit on my arm. I watched youtube before buying and had to refer to it throughout the install. This took several hours, mainly because I didn't have the right tools. The only thing not mentioned in the youtube video is that after closing the tailgate to remove the outer parts you have to climb back into the car to reattach everything to the inside of the tailgate. There is no other way, since the power has been dismantled from the outside. So make sure you have good lighting or at least a flashlight. Otherwise the installation was pretty smooth and no more black sticky residue!
