found some videos on how to replace this grip. It was a little harder than I thought, but not by much. I've heard the dealer charge over $200 for this repair, but I did it myself instead. It would be even better if Ford stopped making this common plastic latch. Since this is extremely unlikely, use this instead. Even a non-mechanic like me managed to do it in about half an hour. (Note: this requires a few custom-sized bits, which you may not have unless you're a shade tree mechanic like me. Several auto parts stores will give you these for free. I used Auto Zone.)
