Review on Filmtec 75 GPD Residential Membrane by Mark Adlesh

So far so good. This is a branded filter at a much lower price than the last time I paid for my own branded filter. I also bought a dissolved solids meter and found that the total dissolved solids level only dropped from 26 to 23 ppm after replacing all five filters. I think a 90% reduction is acceptable, but I see some people giving higher numbers. I think that means I really haven't had to replace my diaphragm now. I did it because the flow was noticeably less. Apparently this was caused by negative pressure in the reservoir. Once this has been corrected, the pressure and flow will return to normal. Some of the other filters in the system were slimy so I'm glad I replaced them and cleaned the housings. My plan for the future is to change the other four filters regularly and the membrane only when the dissolved solids start to rise. I stay with this company because of the price and customer service. I had a question for them through Revain and the speed and quality of the response was enough to convince me to stay with them.
