Review on ๐Ÿ”ง SILCA Premio Tire Levers: Top-notch Performance & Durability by Travis Vasquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lot of money. The best tire levers?

I bought these for my road carbon rims. They are small and not bulky at all. Two levers included. Easily fits in a jersey pocket. They come with a small sleeve to keep them together (don't lose the sleeve or it will be difficult to keep track of them because they are small). I got them specifically for use with a tubeless road build on carbon rims. Tubeless tires have a tighter fit than regular clincher tires, so I wanted something that was strong yet easy to handle and also help break the seal of a tubeless tire. I have a 50mm deep rim and using the levers is no problem. They have a small tray that can be used to hold the lever on the spoke while another lever can be used to sneak under the bead to disengage the bead from the brake track. (I use rim brakes on this wheelset) I've never used levers that attach to your spoke, but this design works really well and makes everything a breeze. I like the fact that the tip is small to help get under the bead. Ever had tire levers that ended up being so thick they're difficult to use? These are NOT like that. And vice versa. I think it's great. And they are designed for many things. They designed them so the alloy parts don't come into contact with your carbon. Or rather, the nylon part will be what you use. Best of all, the alloy doesn't make its small size an issue. They can be used easily. Just be careful with your carbon rims, I imagine there are too many levers and you could damage your rim before breaking those levers. The price is more than your standard set of cheap levers. But I don't think they will break that easily. In fact, I think they might live forever because they're so well made.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Problem
