Since I needed the tool now, since nobody else makes an equivalent spreader, and because "old stock" looks the same elsewhere as current packaging, I used a standard 3/4 "NPT tap as a substitute. - Threading On the opposite side, snap the tail about halfway in so it's actually reversible now. It wasn't too difficult, but it shouldn't have been necessary. Contact us. Also, the listing says "Made in the USA." " but the box says "Made in China".
