For a long time I "sat" on the i2500K, which worked faithfully for several years at 4100 MHz, and was not going to change it. But succumbing to enthusiastic cries on the net about ryzens, although I always had a low opinion of AMD products (as well as about the latest Intel processors), I studied the issue - I decided, I sold the i2500K / mother / memory and ated everything to the ryzen 1600X / MSI B350M MORTAR ARCTIC /Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15. Well what can we say after a couple of months of ownership? I don’t feel much enthusiasm, although I consider the groundwork for the future (with the support of software and game manufacturers, I’m talking about multithreading) excellent. Of course, everything works faster, Google Chrome stopped slowing down when heavily loaded and opening a lot of tabs (I have 200Mbps), the video is processed much faster, in games and graph tests (with the same settings) - a ridiculous increase of 3-6 FPS. But in games, this processor is loaded on average by 40% -60%, no more. Otherwise, nothing has changed, except for a strong increase in parrots / numbers in various tests. Overclocked 1600X successfully at 3900 MHz (it also works at 4000 MHz, but the tests do not pass - it turns off), the memory works at 3200 (16/16/16/30). The temperature in idle is 32C-40C, in stress tests it reaches 84C. Deepcool GAMMAXX S40 Cooler In terms of overall performance, 1600X is approximately at the level of I7-7700K, but cheaper by an average of 5k (not to mention B350 motherboards, they are also cheaper than for Intel). In general, summarizing, I will say this: If you have a computer for games, then it is better to upgrade the video card than the processor / m-board / memory. And if you are not only a gamer, then the Ryzen 1600X is definitely worth the money (and it’s also cheaper than Intel systems), and in the future it will show itself even better, because now, in my opinion, software and games will be developed towards multi-core / multithreading, and this is good news!
