All in all a good product

The brackets themselves are very strong and should last for many years. The fit to my 3x3 tongue wasn't exactly snug, but it was quite snug. If I can blame that part of the assembly, it's that I want it to extend a little to every part of the language. Each piece can be an inch longer and the mounting holes are much further apart. I understand they want this to fit the small size, but for applications near the maximum load a bit more length would be desirable. The supplied hardware is mixed. They come with a kick which is a nice bonus and works great. The kit also includes a torx (it seems T-55). It's garbage. I almost couldn't finish working with him because of fatigue in my teeth. The screws are obviously made to order and that's always a bad thing. They are about 1/4 inch shorter in my opinion and using torx sockets is also undesirable. I would prefer hex or hex head screws as torx heads also get a bit tired during installation. This includes flanged nuts, not locknuts or flanged locknuts. The lack of locknuts means you'll have to re-tighten them. But at the end of this work, the supplied torx bit is used up and the screw heads are also tired. I think I'll have to replace all hardware within a year to be on the safe side. The hinge pin and pin are of good quality and I don't expect any problems with them. From start to finish it's a work of at least 2 hours. You will most likely spend 3 hours. You will need a set of awesome drill bits and a pair of good quality circular saw blades. Except for everything else they mention. You may also need to rewire, but this depends on your trailer. If you use battery powered tools, make sure you have a few spare batteries that are fully charged and ready to use. The final product looks good and I am very happy with it. I was able to put my trailer in the garage with a few centimeters in reserve. Time will tell if it holds up, but I have no reason to believe it won't last long. My trailer is stored in a garage so I'm not too concerned about corrosion. Also, with a 350lb gyno, my follower only weighs 400lbs. Tongue weight is only about 75 pounds. I chose a 33 inch pivot which the chart says can handle a tongue weight of 380 pounds. I would buy it again although I would strongly consider buying other mounting hardware. This will probably add $30 to the total purchase but I think I'll be happier in the end. Minus 1 star for not very good attachment and poor quality torx bit.
