I have a curved grip flask that I've always loved but this takes it to the next level. The handle design makes it much easier to use, more comfortable and more powerful. Haven't encountered a blockage that couldn't handle this in just a dive or two. I can't say if a fender is better or worse than other pistons as I've always experienced that to some degree, so I'm just being very cautious. You just have to press it slowly to expel all the air and then start to sink. If you try to push it down hard and fast at the same time, all the air will rush up and splatter you. And because it works so well, it doesn't require a lot of fast, hard dives, so I can easily control the splash. I suspect those who get a lot are getting it wrong.
