EDIT June 2021: Oops. It died completely this morning after three months of intermittent use in a permanent location. Tested on three different phones, all of which have no problems with standard Lightning charging cables. There are no dice. Rating changed from 4 stars to 1. Should have listened to other bad reviews. ----------------- Works well. On my admittedly ancient iPhone 7, the sound is richer and more powerful than with the white Apple 3.5mm/Lightning dongle. The active speakers I'm hooked up to (QSC K8s) need a lot less amplification through the rear knobs for reliable playback. Life is Beautiful. However, *when* nothing is connected to the Lightning end, there is decently loud high-frequency digital noise. It's definitely noticeable that no pro's get caught dead on stage and stuff like that. But once the phone is connected, everything calms down immediately. Does not affect normal operation at all. Fair price, nice little adapter, I will definitely buy again.
