Great idea, poor execution

Great idea but failed. I was able to get sound but the quality was very poor and I had to turn the volume up high. To be honest I'm afraid to use it on my hardware.

UPDATE: FIXED! How to fix this cable if it stopped working after a while

Bought this product, it worked for a while and then stopped. reset to update. (Quickly press the volume up button, then the volume down button, then hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.) This worked for me and got my speakers working again! (Now playing: Yin Ying, the rabbit who hunts tigers - look!). Hope this helps if you are facing the same problem.

Works as it should.

Use this for my garage stereo. I tried the bluetooth adapter first but it didn't work and was sent back. I like it because the signal isn't lost or distorted like Bluetooth. Perfect for what I use it for.

Worked for two days - and then decided to stop working. Send it back and try another brand

I seem to be having this issue with non-standard Apple accessories that use Lightning connectors. They work for a short time and then die randomly. As for this accessory, it sounded really great when it actually worked. Pandora through my phone to the aux port on my Infiniti reminded me of the sound quality you had when people knew what "good" sound was. Anyway, after a few days it just stopped working. My iPhone 8 Plus didn't recognize it anymore. I know it's not my phone as off the shelfโ€ฆ

UPDATE: ERROR AFTER THREE MONTHS. Good. Just pay attention to the idle noise.

EDIT June 2021: Oops. It died completely this morning after three months of intermittent use in a permanent location. Tested on three different phones, all of which have no problems with standard Lightning charging cables. There are no dice. Rating changed from 4 stars to 1. Should have listened to other bad reviews. ----------------- Works well. On my admittedly ancient iPhone 7, the sound is richer and more powerful than with the white Apple 3.5mm/Lightning dongle. The active speakers I'mโ€ฆ
