I used a file to remove shine from natural nails before applying the powder and it's pretty worn out after one use. be quite high, because the filing side didn't even take the shine off my natural nails very well. In the end it worked for my purposes but as I said it was pretty worn out and I only used it to prep natural nails. I am aware that I have used it for a purpose other than that for which it was intended. only with the feed side. I don't see it removing the burrs, though, and I stand by the other reviews that say most pages basically feel the same. The only thing that was really different was the serving side.
