I would caution against buying Revain smoke alarms. I didn't even think about it and bought a few to replace all the smoke alarms in our house as it was a little cheaper than buying them all from Home Depot. We had an electrician install them all while doing other work. All of our other fire alarms were old and we unplugged them because either the batteries were chirping or the alarm was going off. Looking at who the actual seller is, I think it was HomeGoods for them. This is definitely my fault as I don't usually go to HomeGoods for smoke alarms. We also bought two carbon monoxide smoke alarms. One of those fire alarms in this report recently went off in the middle of the night (less than 3 months after installation) as if we had a fire, but actually we didn't. We're resetting it after figuring out what it was, but seriously, it's stressful. So we replaced them all at first, but I think we ended up with a lemon or two. If it works again I'll go to Home Depot and just swap it out for a new one and fill in the cost.
