I wanted a small, unobtrusive zoom to match the recently purchased Fujifilm X-E3 and the reviews for the small 15-45mm lens have been mostly positive . In terms of build quality, this is a kit lens, but it's still well made. Visually, it's capable of really good results. It doesn't have an aperture ring, so you have to set the aperture with the camera's front dial, which isn't that hard once you get the hang of it. The power zoom feature is actually nice once you get used to it, but I have no idea how it will work in the future. Several reviews said this feature died in them rendering the lens unusable but I have my fingers crossed and will appreciate this lens more than my other pro lenses. It's small, light and the fact that it's wider at the wide end than a typical kit lens - the 23mm equivalent versus the more common 28mm equivalent - is a huge plus. If I don't know I need some extra wide angle, I can leave the 10-24mm zoom at home and take a lighter camera bag with me. Longevity is still questionable but after a month of use including a couple of weekend trips I'm glad I bought it.
