Not Impressed: Car Electronics Accessories

After using the Plantronics M165 for three years, it refused to connect to my Samsung S8 mobile phone via Bluetooth after trying all the connectivity solutions. So I started looking for a replacement again. Remembering how well the M165 worked in terms of sound quality and functionality (until it disappeared) I found this Plantronics Explorer 110 and it seems to work well. So I bought it. Well it connected and seemed to have similar characteristics that I liked with my earlier M165. It did some things a little differently than the M165, but seemed to work the same way. Then I started calling him. Some of the calls seemed normal, but as the day went on and I spoke to more people, something about their responses made me suspicious. It turned out that the people I spoke to had issues with the sound quality they were hearing and they mentioned problems. Gossiping, scratching with every word I said and while they were easy enough to understand WHAT I was saying, it was distracting and made it difficult for me to focus on that for several minutes which was worth 2-5 minutes what i said. So I knew this new "replacement" wasn't as good as my old M165. In short, the Plantronics Explorer 110 sucks. return as soon as possible.
