I am a hobby carpenter and have been using routers for several years. As expected, I've bought cutting plotters from a variety of manufacturers and based on my experience, I've seen good quality control from some brands. Now I decided to try SMT (price difference and honest customer reviews). When my order arrived I inspected the drill and immediately noticed a defect in the polishing of the carbide. I contacted CMT customer service and provided a photo of the broken drill. I was advised to return the bit to the manufacturer for replacement. Now the manufacturer's quality control is not enough, and yet the buyer has to pay the price: the packaging and shipping time, the return shipping fee, and the delay in the original project caused by the defective nozzle. I've learned my lesson and will buy from reliable brands in the future.
