Review on Kwikset 98880-004 SmartCode 888 Z-Wave Plus Smart Lock Touchpad Electronic Deadbolt in Satin Nickel with SmartKey Security by Stephen Chowdary

Bought to replace a broken Kwikset 910 Zwave lock. During the installation I noticed two problems. Firstly the screws in the attached picture were not tightened when I received the lock. And are they of a different type? I thought they should be the same. Secondly, the lock/unlock button is very firm when it is first fully installed. This is how the lock beeps to indicate it's stuck during the lock when I tested it. Luckily, the knocker and plastic cover can be detached from the motor part. And I noticed that there is no grease between the handle and the plastic cover. So if it jams, the motor has to turn very hard. The solution is simple, I applied wd40. And now he spins smoothly. I think the build quality needs to be improved for this lock. Also the Zwave part has been working great for the last two days.
