When I first received this item, I received a defective pump. However, when I contacted the seller, they sent me an entirely new replacement unit instead of just a new pump, which is awesome. The new unit works great and I much prefer it over the Catit water fountains I had been buying for years prior. I like that there is about an inch or so of water in the top of the fountain when it's plugged in, compared to the little trickle of water that the cats had access to with the other fountain. The cats took to it right away and seem to really enjoy it.
