Everything is fine, I liked the product, I bought it for a reason.

After the price of the Iphone XS settled in the region of ~50 thousand, the phone became a very good option to buy. The closest alternative is the Iphone 11, which is sold for plus or minus the same price in some places. Here you can already see what is more important for you: IPS or OLED screen, zoom or ultra-wide angle in the camera. Well, in terms of autonomy, the Iphone 11 will still be more interesting.
Can I recommend the iPhone XS for purchase? Definitely - yes, provided that the small capacity of the battery is not a critical drawback for you.

Pros

1. Display. Here were the biggest fears because of the fear of switching to OLED after IPS screens. So, the eyes do not hurt from it, the brightness is sufficient even under direct sunlight. There are no complaints about the matrix itself, in my opinion, it is calibrated very well. Attached a photo comparing black color on the screen of Iphone XS and Iphone SE. 2. Sound. Some reviews write about a rattling speaker. I don't have such a problem. The sound is clear, the volume is enough not to miss a call while in another part of the apartment. I don’t listen to music through the speaker, so I can’t evaluate it from this point of view. For games, it is also more than enough. The lack of a 3.5 mm jack is not a problem for me, since I use AirPods paired with my phone. 3. Camera. During the day, no questions asked. Smart HDR works well. The frame is sharp throughout. Pretty good RAW. If you want to get confused with photo processing, you can shoot in it. With a drop in lighting, things are a little worse - there is no night mode in the camera, and pictures at night lose a lot of detail. Until now, there is no shutter speed adjustment, and in third-party applications it is limited to 1 second. The front camera is normal, selfies are good, HDR on the front camera also works. 4. Performance. Both in everyday tasks and in something more demanding (for example, in games), there are no problems.

Cons

1. Battery. When buying a phone with a 2700 mAh battery, you don't expect it to last a long time. With daily use with a screen brightness of at least 50%, as well as the work of wi-fi and bluetooth modules, as a rule, you get 5.5 hours of active screen (without using a dark theme). You can extend the work by disabling various functions, setting a dark theme, dark wallpapers, and more - but that's not why you buy a phone with such hardware and at such a price? 2 Face ID. In everyday life it works flawlessly, unlocks at any time of the day. But! In the current realities of the mask mode on the street, you have to constantly enter a password to unlock it, because it does not recognize a face in a mask. When setting up an alternative appearance (with a mask on the face), it asks to remove foreign objects from the face (the version of ios 13.3 is installed, probably everything is fine on the latest firmware and the problem is irrelevant) 3. Heating. With particularly active work, in particular under direct sunlight, the phone starts to heat up and, when a certain temperature is reached, resets the brightness. Then, as it cools down, the brightness returns to its previous level, but just take this fact into account, especially if you often use the phone during the day on the street.
