I ordered this because I needed to replace one of the 8 inch battery terminal bolts on my Nissan Xterra. I ordered this unit on purpose because it was advertised as having an 8 inch screw length. When installing this unit I found the entire top "bar" very fiddly and difficult to adjust, it appeared to be fully tightened only to fully loosen after about a quarter turn. Once I got everything in place, I found that the studs were sticking out a full 2 inches higher than they should be. I disassembled everything and measured the screws. Of course they are 10 inches long. I had to break out a dremel cutting wheel and cut 2 inches off each screw to get them to work. Ultimately this holds my battery, but if I wanted to cut the screws there were plenty of cheaper options.
