I bought this for two reasons: I needed something that could be easily sanitized and I wanted as little plastic as possible. I also like the interchangeable heads. In practice, this doesn't work - they "stick" to the base easily, so you have to either use both hands to detach the brush or plunger, or put your foot on it to hold the base while releasing it. Diving, by definition, requires speed. This will not allow you to quickly pull out the plunger. After a month of use I'm done.
