My favorite purchase in the past year. I put occupancy and vacancy switches in a few rooms of my house. Occupancy switches turn on when you enter a room and turn off when you leave. Think "small bathroom" or over the kitchen sink! Vacancy switches need to be turned on manually but turn off if no one is in the room. I added these to my kitchen. Easily set to turn off in 1, 5, 15, or 30 minutes. So much cheaper and simpler than home automation. They are simple to install and then they just work. Awesome ! High quality too. We have 3 sets of lights in our kitchen. For the light over the kitchen sink I added an occupancy switch MS-OPS2. When someone walks into the kitchen this one light comes on. If they leave then a few minutes later it turns off. For the other two sets of lights I used this vacancy switch. You have to turn on the light manually but if you just walk out the lights turn off after 5 minutes (or 1,5,15, or 30 minutes). My daughter was doing her homework and being really still for 5 minutes. The lights turned off. But she moved and the lights came back on. So you have a 20 second grace period after the lights turn off when you can wave your hand to magically turn the lights back on. These switches are awesome. Similar to this one is one with a dimmer. After 5 minutes the lights slowly dim off. Again, as they start to dim you can wave your hand and they will go back on. Learn what you want and buy the correct switch. Read the instructions. These are awesome!
