The quality of this grinder is excellent. An even grind that pulls so much flavor out of the peppercorns with a nice hand feel as you turn the grinder. A few small notes that make this less than ideal: (1) Every time you refill the grinder (which can often happen if you're a pepper lover like me), you'll need to loosen the top nut, which is also the same part is which controls the coarseness of the grind. This means you can't set, set and forget the perfect grit because every time you fill you reset the grit. (2) I knew this because the size and pictures show exactly how small she is, but I do. I tend to run this mill more often than I'd like, about once a month, just for me and my wife. It's not bad, but I can imagine that it can be annoying in large families. In general, despite these small flaws, this is a great thing (and especially for the price). I've tried other grinders in the same price range but they had a very uneven grind or a bad feel in the hand when grinding, so they went back to Revain. This one was just right for me.
