TPMS is very important. My 2005 ACURA TL was not there. I wanted an easy to install, accurate, low pressure audible warning at a reasonable price. I FOUND! I plugged the monitor into the cigarette lighter, pumped up cold tires to my liking, screwed the transmitter caps into their assigned tire positions, and was on my way. Works perfectly! Some things to note: I use larger than factory spec tires on my car: I use: 255/45X17. This increased the tire circumference and corrected the factory 2 mph speedometer error. Second:. I have 3M tinted glasses that have metal in them. The shop that applied the tint said the tire data would not penetrate the tint. Well it does. Third:. I didn't use the locknuts that came with the kit; The transmitters are screwed on securely like all other tire valve caps. I also didn't use dust covers. I don't live in a dusty environment. (Birmingham, Alabama) Although a monitor displays a lot of information and therefore a small digital image, it's not the kind of information you monitor visually all the time. (e.g. system voltage).
