You have a 2005 F150 Supercrew 5.4L with only 44,000 miles on it. Last week I noticed an uncomfortable knocking in the 800-900rpm range. Installed this set and healed instantly. One of the new VCTs looked like it had been dropped as it ended up being dented, not the seller's fault as it came that way from the factory. Built in anyway because it didn't look critical. Newer F150s will require you to remove the valve cover (thanks to the engineers) but on these old types it's not necessary and the whole job only took about 20 minutes. On the driver's side you don't need to remove the power steering bracket(s), just unscrew the reservoir, slide it out of the way and there's plenty of room. Take a T27 bit, preferably 6" or larger, to remove the VCT screw. I can't stress this enough, be SUPER careful not to drop anything in it or you will get really hurt. Be sure to disconnect the battery in step 1, otherwise the manual says tighten the screw to 44 in-lbs and you're good to go.
