As mentioned, it is a bit heavy as the pot/container is filled with very little cement. I ended up mixing up some concrete and on two separate occasions poured in the base to make it heavier. Sand doesn't work. Since the bottom is hollow, I had to fill it with concrete. Now everything is in order. The pot/bin is fairly cheap and made out of plastic but looks good enough and does the job. And I wish the cord was longer. However, it is only 2 feet from the complex. The rest of the tree looks great. Pre-lit with pine cones and berries, this makes a lovely Christmas addition to either side of my holiday front door. Despite the flaws, I like it and it will do the job, but I find it a bit overpriced. You can find other trees, 2 of which stand alone but even when lit they don't have cones and berries so I went with this one.
