I have just successfully installed this on my Ridgeline 2018 and it works very well. I've been watching Ridgelines for several years and finally decided to buy a new one 2 weeks ago. The only thing that bothered me was that the tailgate wouldn't close. I'm not sure why Honda hasn't been able to fix this issue for the Ridgeline in 11 years, but that's my ONLY complaint. Installed the cover and ordered this lock. I read all the installation questions and didn't want to run the cable through the truck myself so I had a Honda dealership install a lock. They decided to contact Line-X who installed it. I didn't pay anything for the facility but they told me the current rate is $86 an hour and as far as I know it took less than 2 hours. That works great! If you can negotiate installation before purchase or pay for installation if you don't like being frustrated with installation. It works really well with my automatic locks on my RTL-T, so when I put my hand in the handle it unlocks the doors and now the back door (or press the unlock button on the key fob). You can hear it turn on and it's louder than the interior locks, but I don't think it's that loud. Hope it lasts for years. So far this is working very well.
