Easy to install and still works great

Easy to install and still works great. When installing I needed a 10mm socket to remove and install the mounting screws. The screws were not used to secure my latch from the factory. I also routed the wiring through the rear axle on the driver's side, into the frame through the existing holes, using rubber inserts (supplied by the manufacturer - Honda) and inserted into the wiring harness in the doors to the fuse box. Easy and convenient installation. It took about 2 hours including a long…

Drive does not work

I spent eight hours installing the wiring harness. Went through all internal body panels. I found and checked all the electrical connections that were fine. Then I installed the mechanical part. It didn't work when tested. I checked to see if there was voltage at the connector when the lock button was pressed. I also made sure we have good ground. We went to pop and lock.net and wrote two notes describing the problem. I called her the next day. Went straight to voicemail. When they finally…

.works with settings but not that simple.

. I installed this on a Honda Ridgeline. Installing the product on the tailgate was fairly easy although I had to google how to remove the panels and access the tailgate latch mechanism By routing the wire along the factory wiring harness, I basically had to disassemble half of the car's interior, including the rear seats. All in all it took me about 6 hours. The instructions weren't very good. Online PDF version I was able to zoom in on which worked fine. I noticed that there is a small spring

Fits Ridgeline 2018

I have just successfully installed this on my Ridgeline 2018 and it works very well. I've been watching Ridgelines for several years and finally decided to buy a new one 2 weeks ago. The only thing that bothered me was that the tailgate wouldn't close. I'm not sure why Honda hasn't been able to fix this issue for the Ridgeline in 11 years, but that's my ONLY complaint. Installed the cover and ordered this lock. I read all the installation questions and didn't want to run the cable through the…

Easy install no lift

Just installed this on my 2019 Ridgeline RTL-E in a few hours. I followed most of the instructions, but still did it a little differently. Starting at the back door, after removing the Phillips screws and hitting the top rail to the right with a rubber mallet, the top cover came off instead of the entire top. So I had to split it in two to get to the other T30 bolts on top. After I pulled them out, the rest of the installation was the same as the instructions. Where I took off a bit, which I…

Quality product works well after a lengthy installation

The Ridgeline 2nd generation electric pop & lock mechanism is well designed and should fit without modification. However, this did not happen with my 2019 Ridgeline. I followed the included instructions carefully and watched a detailed installation video for another 2019 car, but found a severe 3/16" material interference between the Pop & Lock mechanism and the Honda factory manual tailgate latching mechanism. Although there is a slot or notch in the Pop & Lock mount to accommodate the…

DO NOT buy this! on loading area & tailgate Accessories

History. So everything written in my previous review remains valid so please read it too. The problems started towards the end of last month (about three weeks ago). I tried to open the tailgate with the key fob to pick up some items but it wouldn't open. I couldn't hear the very loud drive/mechanism so I knew something was wrong. The key fob could lock/unlock the doors, so I knew that wasn't the problem. I've tried dozens more times. Luckily, it was accidentally unlocked without changing…
