. I installed this on a Honda Ridgeline. Installing the product on the tailgate was fairly easy although I had to google how to remove the panels and access the tailgate latch mechanism By routing the wire along the factory wiring harness, I basically had to disassemble half of the car's interior, including the rear seats. All in all it took me about 6 hours. The instructions weren't very good. Online PDF version I was able to zoom in on which worked fine. I noticed that there is a small spring that was bent when I received it and had to be carefully bent open. The lock worked the first few times I used it, but then it wouldn't engage or lock the back door. I reopened the panels on the tailgate and found that it was a small spring and I needed to change it a bit. that's what I hoped. If it weren't for the small spring I would probably give it at least 4 stars.
