Does well in cold water.

Also in the description it says that the battery life is about 4 hours. I tried it in the pond, played with the gain, it worked. At the weekend we will try to spot on the ice. Probably not ideal for what we're going to use it for, if you have the cash. Cough for a real ice cold Vexilar, but if you're on a budget this should work. The pond is mostly ice and works well with a water temperature of 33°C. Can't wait to use it for shore fishing this summer!
