Update 1: The kittens are almost 7 weeks old now and are still nursing once or twice a day. I felt it needed an update in case anyone was interested. This thing stops the stink! Serious! Unzip or approach this thing with a clothespin by the nose. I line it with fresh pads every day and have a small litter box, but that thing stinks! Urine and feces seemed to seep into every fiber. I wash it thoroughly every day and I still see the disgust on people's faces when they come to my house. Also, and this is NOT the fault of the manufacturer or seller, NOT WATER RESISTANT! This is my mistake, but a big one! I have hardwood floors and one night I forgot to put a bed under this thing. I'm pretty sure I need to repaint the floor. Can I still recommend this item? Oh stop! Once they are weaned and in their new home I will just toss this thing in the trash as I will never have another litter. (Bob Barker's voice: This is Bob Barker reminding you to help control the pet population - neuter or neuter your pets.) Original post: I rescued a pregnant cat but none of us knew about it. I'm new to this whole cat thing. Two days after we found out she was pregnant, she went into labor. I wasn't sure if she was fat or gassy. Turns out she was both for a reason. After the kittens were born and started to outgrow their delivery box, I bought these. mom loves it! She can constantly scan her perimeter (I have dogs) and still lie down so the kittens can eat in peace. I like it for many reasons. It's airy so I don't have to worry about them overheating. It's easy to clean. I just wipe it down with hot water and peroxide every other day while my mom keeps the kittens busy. Mom takes care of both of us. She hates gimmicks. Currently I can leave the top down as they are not strong enough to escape. In a few days the roof will have to be closed overnight unless I want to climb in the morning with kittens in my pockets and hunt for brothers and sisters in every nook and cranny. Mom hates these shenanigans, so I take responsibility and try to prevent them. Probably. It is very light and very easy to move when needed, even when the kittens are indoors and riding. I didn't have any of the issues mentioned in other reviews. Not a single net has broken, the zips work, in short, without any problems. For reference, the kittens will soon be 5 weeks old.
