Review on Reese Towpower 74307 Interchangable Hitch by Joe Michels

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly what I need.

Got this in the mail. Automobile). So I didn't have to clamp the ball joint in a vise. You can even turn it upside down if you prefer to have the nut on top for installation. After that I inserted the hitch ball (without the ball installed) into the ball mount. I hand-threaded the lock washer and nut on, then dripped a "lock nut" onto the threads, then tightened using an adjustable wrench holding the shank up and a crescent wrench to tighten the nut. A: This product is perfect for my use. I have a Corolla with a folding cargo trailer. It uses a 1 7/8 inch ball. However, I rent mobile trailers from Uhaul that use 2 inch diameter balls. Now I can change the size of the ball on the fly. Rated at 5000lb, this is 3000lb stronger than I need. To replace the ball: There is a slotted pin on the top of the ball (a flathead screwdriver will do). Just push down on the slot (I used a house key) and turn with very little effort. The pin rises and the ball leaves the mechanism. It's very easy. If you look at the pictures you will see the pen I am talking about. It is up and extended. Balls come and go with ease. After blocking, the ball does not come out. Price: Very good price compared to other interchangeable items.
