When I first pulled this out of the box, it wasn't what I expected. Up close, the black parts of the fixtures look almost speckled. Online it looks like a hammered finish, but it isn't. I didn't like it at first, to be honest. But after I installed everything, I think it's really perfect. It definitely looks less speckled when it's against white or gray paint.I love the light fixture. The seeded glass covers are great quality, and they are just lovely when installed. The fixtures are a painted/coated aluminum. They felt kind of thin and cheap before I installed them, but they actually look very nice once installed, and have held up to use. The matte finish gives a more farmhouse feel, for sure.Overall, the light fixture alone was worth the price, and the overall look was very attractive!
