Excellent teapot - but the lid is rusting and peeling - health concerns?
Bought this teapot for Christmas - beautiful color and works great. But unfortunately the cover is not stainless steel and after 2-3 months it started to rust and the chrome/silver was peeling off into the water. It is unclear why the lid is not made of stainless steel. I am concerned that this is a health issue. The only way to keep the lid from rusting faster is to dry it completely after each boil. In addition, if you wash the pot from the outside, the paint will bleed out - there are a lot of minuses. Today we expanded it into a flower pot.
