Beautiful kettle

My new kettle is not only a tasteful and colorful addition to my kitchen, it's also fun to use. I can add water by opening the lid or pouring it down the spout. Opening and closing the spout is easy and safe. Lifting the trigger under the handle opens the spout. You can close it by pressing the button at the top of the handle. No more stuck spout lids that have to be closed manually. And of course a whistle. What is a kettle without a whistle? So happy with mine.

Excellent teapot - but the lid is rusting and peeling - health concerns?

Bought this teapot for Christmas - beautiful color and works great. But unfortunately the cover is not stainless steel and after 2-3 months it started to rust and the chrome/silver was peeling off into the water. It is unclear why the lid is not made of stainless steel. I am concerned that this is a health issue. The only way to keep the lid from rusting faster is to dry it completely after each boil. The kettle doesn't whistle. (unsafe product)

The whistling kettle is designed to attract your attention when the water is boiling with the usual sound. Although this product is very attractive, it makes no sound.
