Brake pads seem made well enough, and are a little longer which I imagine gives better braking. They did not stop my brake squeal though. To those looking for a solution, what finally did it for me was to spray the rim down with some degreaser, and then wipe them clean. Squeal finally stopped. Rim squeal can be caused by multiple things, and hard/glazed brake pads can be one of them. But after washing with soap and water, adjusting the "toe in" on the pads, and replacing the pads, with no luck, the degreaser finally did it for me. Try that before buying new pads just to stop squeal.
