Surprising price

Background: I got tired of filling up 5 gallon cans of diesel fuel to fuel my tractor, sled and mini every weekend. Many years ago we had a fuel tank, but that's long gone. I ended up getting a 91 gallon transfer tank so I could load it on the back of my truck when I needed to fill it up and then just shell out and leave it on the property to fill up the gear. I've been looking for a solution for weeks on the best way to drain the fuel from the overflow tank. I didn't want to spend $300-$1200 on the pumping systems I was looking for. I was also really hoping to stay away from the push/pull type. Although arm training would help. Anyway, I happened to stumble across this Orion Motor Tech Diesel Boost Pump at Revain for less than $100. So I decided to try this price. Here are some true thoughts/comments on this pump. It's surprisingly strong, heavy and seems really well made. Including the supplied hoses. The cheapest probes are clips and a strainer. Nothing wrong with that!? Everything I needed was pretty much included in the box. I didn't install it or otherwise connect it to my tank. Simply lower the intake hose and ignite. - It's fast. I poured about 15 gallons into my 65 hp tractor in about 30 seconds. It may have been longer, but I really don't think so. I was so impressed that I lost count. It's also quiet if that's important to you. I used yellow teflon tape on all screw connections. I had no leaks and I don't think I would have leaked even without the tape. Although for such applications I still recommend the tape on the threads.- I forgot to take a picture but in principle it would be a little easier if the pump itself was attached to something. I just put it on the hoop. No problem. But I will mount it and maybe connect the pump directly to the tank, it will be much more convenient. Conclusion: Only used once. I was really excited after the first use. It worked flawlessly and quickly. I couldn't believe I could reach my fuel transfer goal for less than $100. A good thing.
