Bought these for some 4x4 butt joints on an outdoor TV stand. They rode great and they didn't have splits! The reason I removed the star is because one of the screws was quite kinked and the drill that came with it wasn't a hammer drill. Do you know how many people turn an 8" structural screw without an impact wrench? Otherwise solid price/quality!
