Review on πŸ”Ή Kreg KMA2685 Rip-Cut Circular Saw Guide: Achieve Perfect Cuts with Ease and Precision in Blue by Kaylon Mackey

the thing works - blades

I have to give 5 stars here but I am concerned about the durability of the tool as the guide rail is plastic and is attached to the aluminum scale with 2 screws. However, the thing works. The rip-cut setup is a little fiddly, but the time it takes to figure out the setup and align the dial, slider, and pointer to the guide bar is well worth it. When I was satisfied with the assembly, I ripped out a piece of MDF to test it. The final width of the test piece corresponded exactly to the scale setting. So if a person watches Youtube demos of this tool and reads comments stating that the tool is inaccurate, it is likely that the tester or commenter did not set up the tool properly. The beauty is that the tool holds the saw firmly so you can stop and start the saw mid-cut with no visible saw marks on the edge of the cut. I will be using this tool to cut the panels into strips for overlapping walls and I am sure the tool will cut the strips to the same width. At the moment, the amount spent on the tool is worth it. But how long does the tool last?
