I've been looking at seats and reviews for days. I chose this one because it was the cheapest. I figured once I have the space in my hands I'll be better able to decide what I want/need and then give it back. He came later that day and I was delighted with the goal. I first fitted it to my beach cruiser to see if the adapter would fit the main seatpost, no problem with that. Then I put it on my BMX 29er. When I removed the seatpost adapter it looked like it was welded to the seat rails, but it came apart with no problem. And when I attached the bike seat to the seatpost clamp, the rails were a bit wider than the grooves they sit in, but everything snapped into place as I evenly tightened them. I've been using it for a month now and I still love it. The grip on the back is very solid when I have to steer the bike with my hand. The plush seat is always perfect for my skinny butt and the springs are really good when I ride with the kids. Walking carelessly over a speed bump can shake your spine! The seat was exactly as pictured. It's just over an inch wider than the BMX seat that came with the bike and about 2 inches narrower than the thick-bottomed cruiser seat. I weigh 170 and can't press the springs when I try. Start with this.
