Review on πŸ”§ Moen Cartridge Puller for Single Handle Cartridges (1200, 1222, and 1225) by Joe Ashan

The tool you should have when replacing faucet cartridges!

I hesitated for a while before buying this tool to replace my 1225 shower faucet cartridge because of its price. Also after reading some reviews that if the cartridge is badly broken it doesn't help much. .I just had a cartridge replaced and I have no regrets about this purchase. 7 years ago I had the same cartridge with badly broken plastic parts just replaced with pliers and it took 4 hours. It should have only taken me about 5 minutes with this tool. Having said that, I have to say that initially I spent an hour trying to take out a broken cartridge with this tool. I didn't really understand how to use this tool (after screwing a long screw into the broken cartridge, I just tried to pull the cartridge out by moving the T-handle from the 11 o'clock position to the 1 o'clock position -position turned so that I understood the instructions). I put another old cartridge in the faucet that had the broken plastic parts replaced to try and save money on buying a new cartridge. However, water still flowed after the replacement. Then I take out the cartridge. Back then I used this tool properly (use a wrench to rotate the front of the tool instead of pulling the T-handle). It only took me a few minutes to get the cartridge out. I knew it wouldn't be difficult as there weren't any broken plastic parts inside the cartridge, but I have no strong doubt that using this tool properly the first time would take me no more than 5 minutes!
