This item looks good and looks solid. It stays put when placed on the fridge. But in its most essential function it is completely inadequate. The call is NOT loud; don't"ring"; It's such a tiny ripple, sometimes you don't even hear it. Very disappointing to say the least. I do not recommend this timer to anyone. (By the way, the same item was made 10 or more years ago and was reliable: it had a long, loud sound, it was accurate and reliable. The new ones are completely different - as described above - although they look exactly the same, the same, and even black timestamps on the face are smudged! What did they use, felt-tip pens? Obviously the manufacturer has changed. What a complete loss of quality!)
