Installed on the back of my '89 C1500 (2WD). It bounced/floated because the shock absorbers on it had been removed. I was able to easily compress them by hand after taking them off. Needless to say, it didn't ride very well when digging/carrying wood. A few weeks after installation I went to download Maple - the difference between day and night! The back didn't squat nearly as much as it used to when pulling similar weights. The ride was noticeably better both on and off-road. It handles bumps in the road much better, both loaded and unloaded. My brother-in-law, who regularly borrows a truck, also found that the ride is better. It gets a bit harder to negotiate speed bumps and such, but now that I've ridden a few miles on it things have smoothed out a bit. I also got a few yards of mulch shortly after installation - a few yards fill the bed almost to the top of the cab. Front loader bucket almost full. Again, a massive improvement in both how much the truck crouches and how it handles the road. Totally worth the money if you are carrying something important. If not, maybe it's overkill. With that, Gabriel ran out of the park!
