Wow - it just works! Happy customer!

I'm a fan of home automation with over 70 devices in my home including Insteon, ZWave and Hue. I recently decided to try Homekit and wanted something to control my garage door. I bought this device at the suggestion of the Homekit subreddit. Installation took about 15 minutes, the longest part was installing the sensor. You get everything you need in the box - screws, double-sided tape, USB power adapter, cable tie + control box and sensor. To install. You get a nice garage door icon in the iOS Home app, and thanks to a sensor, the device knows if the door is open or closed. Pressing the garage door button on my watch or phone opens or closes the door almost instantly. It just works. The only thing I could suggest is some sort of loud beep and/or flashing light when the garage door closes (e.g. select 'close' on my phone then the device beeps/flashes then the garage door closes ). I've heard that this is a security feature in Chamberlain's garage door remote and it would be great if it were implemented in this setup as well. However, I knew this unit didn't have that feature when I bought it, so it still deserves 5 stars. an exception for me. On a sub-reddit, some users mentioned that their devices need a firmware update to work well with Homekit, but mine didn't.
