Review on πŸ”§ Gator Grip Universal Socket with Power Drill Adapter - Self-Adjusting for Various Shapes, Sizes, and Standard/Metric Applications by Alex Jones

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Simple mode only. - Socket

To be honest I was rough with it. More than 75 ft/lbs of torque. I bought this to remove the lock nuts (all 20 on one car were closed) on a used car I bought. The previous owner lost the socket with the key. It took about 6 before the contacts bent and stuck. Then I had to slam it face first into the concrete to knock the pins off. Went maybe 2 more before it was destroyed. I had to switch to a whole host of heavy duty nut removal tools. Buy it for the ease of use. The pins inside are made of brass or some other soft metal and are the diameter of a coffee straw. Think how much force it would take to distort it.

Pros
  • Has over 100 pounds of torque per foot of power
Cons
  • Something else
