Review on 🌊 Tailonz Water Trap Compressor with Pneumatic Regulator by Michael Nard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great.: Filtration

I didn't want to spend $80 on an Iwata brand regulator/water separator so I went with this one. Using the included thread sealing tape I installed the included pressure gauge and two 1/4" NPT nipples. I connected my hoses and connected them to the air compressor. So far the controller is working great. It holds a good consistent pressure while I airbrush it I have tested it from 10psi to 35psi for airbrushing no problem I left the airbrush plugged in overnight with a full air tank and came back in the morning with only a few pounds lost which is pretty damn good considering how many plugs/adapters I used. I was planning on using the regulator with my Iwata airbrush mount/spray gun but I had to make a custom mount. Instead I just attached 4 neodymiums to the existing mount. One per magnet Drops of superglue and the magnets onto the mount Now I can attach the controller to my Iwata airbrush stand or anywhere (as long as it is is made of metal). A little note, I used 4 magnets. I think it was too much. It sticks "too well" and I really have to pull to get it off. But on the other hand, the regulator will not fall for anything. Someone asked me how I routed my air hoses - here's the answer. It all started when I had a Ryobi 18v battery powered air compressor. It's not too loud, has a 1 gallon tank, is fairly small, uses an 18v One+ battery (of which I have several), each battery lasts about 7 hours of continuous airbrushing, allows me to be portable (no 110V electricity needs an outlet) and costs only $99. I also use the compressor for a lot of other household chores. The Ryobi Compressor comes standard with a quick disconnect installed (Type 15 Industrial Decoupling is the common type used by all). So I wanted to be able to use the Industrial Interchange quick connector to connect the airbrush to. Since I already had two Iwata hoses (1/4 NPT on one end and 1/8 BSP on the other), I decided to just use them. A 1/4 NPT female braided hose was connected to a male industrial quick disconnect (no thread sealant required as the hose has an o-ring). The other end, a 1/8 BSP female thread, attaches to an Iwata quick coupling connected). The regulator's inlet has a dual 1/4 NPT male connector (supplied with the regulator) It has a 1/4 NPT adapter to Badger airbrush male connector (like the one I had on hand). The supplied double 1/4 NPT connector is located on the outlet side. I connected a standard Iwata air hose to it. Finished. Btw, since I used the airbrush quick connector on the tank side of the regulator, I can disconnect the hose or regulator and it will automatically shut off airflow. I hope this review helps you.” – Steve
