No problems with this cable. The pegs on the end are forcefully inserted as they should, not hanging out or being too tight. The cable itself is thin and flexible, more flexible than the nylon braided cables I've had. I had several other optical cables from other manufacturers and 3 of them I threw away or returned due to various issues, either straight out of the box when new or later. This one is perfect so far. This is the 10 foot long I bought with gold plated ends. I found the unexpected benefit of the shiny gold ends - they're just easier to see when you plug them in when you want to make sure they're lined up correctly before you press them. I use a cable to connect the optical audio out on the back of my desktop computer to the optical audio in on an Onkyo integrated amplifier connected to several black and white speakers on my desk and a subwoofer. Killer sound for YouTube, Blu-ray, CDs and any other sound from my computer. I've been using this cable for about 1 week.
