First, if you can wait 7-10 days to get a replacement generator by land, then you can risk it. I finally went out and bought one on the spot as I was stuck with a non-working truck for too long. I thought it was Revane Prime. I was wrong. Second, this is only a 110A unit. Super Duties really should be at least 140A. Just an informed opinion from my mechanic. Third, I can't speak for a warranty period, but after the warranty period Db won't fix it anymore. I tried my existing DB and they said no repair service was offered. My existing Db Alt. traveled less than 12 000. When I took it out several bits of solder fell out. I swapped out the regulator and checked again. He failed all 3 tests in the car zone and apparently he fried himself inside. I will return this one when/if it gets here and get something with a better guarantee.
