This item is expensive but works very well. If you need depth gauges, especially for odd sized bits, this is for you. One thing I was NOT happy with was that it didn't have an outlet to plug into! It might have been an accident, but I can't say for sure. When using it you want to adjust both screws evenly so the distance is about the same. This will give you the best possible fit. To be honest, this is overkill for most people. Many drill/screwdriver sets come with multiple depth gauges, and even if they're too big for the drill, most of the time it doesn't matter. However, if you want precision, a good fit and a perfectly perpendicular drill, it's nice to have that as an option. Its large diameter is almost 1 inch. And hard work.
