This material is thinner than branded tape but better suited to my needs. I needed 100 feet of 2 inch wide tape to go over the previously taped seams as an extra layer of waterproofing. I bought 50 feet of 4" wide duct tape and cut it down the middle. This saved me about $12 (I'm a cheap skateboarder). Since I was using this as a seam cover and not for repairs, the thickness was just perfect and the seams looked pretty neat. After application I restored the entire roof with 3 coats of Hengs Rubber Sealant for another coat of waterproof protection. The whole project went great and gives me a lot of confidence in the sealing of my camper van. This stuff sticks just like all the better known brands.Once applied I used a roller to really tape it to my seams.
